About Kovid
With a childhood love for storytelling, Kovid received his first break screenwriting the hit TV show Balika Vadhu. He went on to pen more than 1,000 episodes for several soaps including the likes of Bade Acche Lagte Hain and Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant.
As a cinephile, he served as an assistant director on Fox Star and Rajshri Production‘s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Following this, he helmed business development at Film Companion and Vinod Chopra Films, where he worked on films including Sanju and Shikara.
Forbes Magazine featured Kovid on its 30 Under 30 List in 2017. He has also been conferred with the Outstanding Young Texas Exes Award and the McCombs School of Business’ Alumni Rising Star Award.
Kovid has authored two bestselling books – Kingdom of the Soap Queen: The Story of Balaji Telefilms and Redrawing India: The Teach For India Story and his short stories have been published in numerous literary magazines.
He holds an MBA from Cornell University, alongside a BBA, BS, and BA – from the University of Texas at Austin.
